Terms of Service

Last updated: October 4, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and UsageGuru, operated by [Your legal name or company] ("UsageGuru", "we", "us"). By buying or using UsageGuru you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What UsageGuru is

UsageGuru is software that runs as an MCP server inside Claude Code. It compresses logs, stack traces, build output and similar text on your computer, and optionally rewrites the plain-language part of a prompt more concisely using our hosted service ("AI rewrites"). UsageGuru is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic.

2. Your license

3. Payment and renewal

4. Refunds

If UsageGuru isn't for you, open a support ticket within 7 days of your first payment and we'll refund that payment in full. After that, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. A refunded subscription's key stops working.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use UsageGuru to:

6. Your content

You own what you put into UsageGuru and what it gives back. To provide AI rewrites, you let us process the text you send for that purpose only. Local compression happens on your computer, and we never receive that content. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect.

7. Output and your responsibility

UsageGuru removes text it judges to be redundant, and AI rewrites are produced by a language model. Both are designed to keep everything that matters, but no automated tool is perfect. Review important output before you rely on it. You're responsible for how you use the output and for the code you ship.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Local compression runs on your computer and only contacts our servers for a brief license check about once an hour. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service, we'll refund the unused part of your current billing period.

9. Disclaimer

Except as stated in these terms, UsageGuru is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to UsageGuru is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we end it without cause, we'll refund the unused part of your current billing period.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll give at least 14 days' notice by email or on this page. Continuing to use UsageGuru after the change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your country or state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you keep any protections the law of your country of residence gives you.
